Risk & Compliance Analyst (On-Site)

Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Risk & Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring Educational Federal Credit Union’s adherence to operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements through coordinated risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and support of enterprise-wide risk and compliance initiatives. This role evaluates business processes, identifies emerging risks, performs compliance testing, supports regulatory examinations, provides recommendations to strengthen internal controls and ensures compliance management is tracked centrally. We encourage you to view and apply directly at edfed.org/careers Duties & Responsibilities: Conducts regular compliance assessments and quality control reviews to test and monitor compliance with laws and regulations. Centrally tracks compliance-related policies and procedures and provides for timely reviews. Monitor business processes and regulatory changes to identify emerging risks.. Uses internal and external resources to gain greater understanding of practices and processes and compliance implications. Examples of resources are meeting with department leaders, communicating with examiners, and conducting research. Assists project managers and serve as a subject matter expert with projects relating to EdFed’s Compliance Program. Provides support to the business units regarding development and implementation of new compliance policies, disclosures, and procedures as well as training programs. Evaluates business units throughout the organization to understand workflows, processes, data collection, reporting needs, and other technical issues that support the compliance processes. Assists during regulatory examinations and external audits. Develops, implements and executes operational, functional, project and compliance risk assessments. Identifies potential risk threats, evaluate impact, assess mitigating controls, and recommend improvements. Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and support reporting to executives and the Board. Assists in the reporting on the status of regulatory compliance activities to executive management and the Board of Directors, as applicable. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 4-7 years of relevant experience in risk management, regulatory compliance or audit in the financial services industry. Skills: America Credit Unions Certified Compliance Officer (CUCO), America Credit Unions Certified Credit Union Enterprise Risk Professional (CUERP),or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation required or must be obtained within 12 months of employment. Working knowledge of federal regulations for financial institutions and ability to interpret regulations. Strong analytical and process evaluation skills. Strong attention to detail and solid interpersonal, written and verbal skills. Ability to meets deadlines and manage changing priorities with limited direction. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office. Maintain the confidentiality of the Credit Union and member records at all times. Knowledge of EdFed products and services (Preferred).
