Senior Graphic Designer

Location: 4 days/week in our San Diego office M-TH. Remote Fridays. Compensation: $85,000–$100,000 annually (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP Experience Level: 5–7+ years of professional design experience, preferably within an agency, brand, or fast-paced creative environment. A background in sports is also a plus. Portfolio should showcase strong visual craft, typography, layout systems, and digital/social work. We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our growing creative team in San Diego. This role is ideal for a highly motivated designer with strong conceptual instincts, polished execution skills, and a desire to continue growing toward creative leadership responsibilities over time. What You’ll Do Design and execute creative assets across digital, social, branding, campaign, presentation, and marketing projects Contribute to concept development, moodboards, visual systems, and campaign ideation Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, strategists, editors, account teams, and producers Help maintain consistency across brand systems and campaign deliverables Prepare production-ready files and support project execution across multiple platforms Present work internally and contribute thoughtfully during creative reviews Support fast-moving creative workflows while maintaining a high standard of design quality Stay current on design trends, social content, sports culture, AI creative tools, and emerging platforms What We’re Looking For Strong portfolio showcasing modern design sensibilities, conceptual thinking, and attention to craft Strong typography, layout, branding, and visual storytelling skills Ability to work across a range of industries, brands, and deliverable types Experience designing for digital, social, campaign, and presentation environments Ability to thrive in fast-paced creative workflows with shifting priorities and timelines Organized, collaborative, and proactive mindset Strong communication skills and ability to contribute thoughtfully during creative reviews Interest in mentorship, leadership growth, and creative ownership over time Experience working with sports, entertainment, or lifestyle brands is a plus Preferred Tools & Skills Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Understanding of social content and platform best practices Familiarity with AI-assisted creative workflows and emerging creative technologies strongly preferred Reporting Structure Reports to the Creative Director Collaborates closely with Design, Video, Social, Marketing and Account teams Why CUENTO Work on creative for nationally recognized brands and sports organizations Collaborative and creatively ambitious environment Opportunity for growth and mentorship within the creative team Diverse project work across industries and platforms Flexible hybrid work environment based in San Diego You’ll join a talented, collaborative creative team where designers, editors, and AD’s have real ownership, visibility, and impact across client work.
