3rd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician

3rd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Position Summary Assists with maintenance and repair operations of the production equipment to continuously improve operations of production lines and complete Preventative Maintenance requests. Is accountable for machine down time and involved in maintaining the entire plant’s physical property. Position Responsibilities Troubleshoots and completes basic repairs of hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; assists in more complex equipment repairs. Works in a team environment and assumes a team role while being engaged in departmental problem-solving operations. Learns to process and complete all Preventative Maintenance requests for the respective departments in a timely manner and according to training provided. Answers calls for production support and assists in changeovers and setups. Uses a variety of hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments and other shop tools and equipment. Supports Lean Manufacturing goals, including all 6S processes and good communication to the production teams and management. Develops a customer/supplier relationship with the production teams. Follows all safety guidelines and promotes safety in the work areas; is always respirator-fit ready. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Experience One (1) year of production maintenance experience required. Forklift driving authorization required within three (3) months of acquiring position. Knowledge of safe use of various equipment (such as drills, saws, hand tools, electronics, and welder torch). Mechanical aptitude to perform equipment troubleshooting and repair/rebuild. Ability to read and understand product quality requirements, basic schematics, and diagrams. Upon work assignment, ability to plan, prioritize and manage daily activities (self-motivated and self–directed). Must be able to work on a team or, at times, independently in a multi-tasking environment. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and supportive to meet changing work demands. Understands, comprehends, and complies with the Lock Out Tag Out procedures for all equipment. Ability and willingness to successfully complete the 24-hour Haz Mat training. Strong communication and customer skills are needed to keep the customer well-informed of the status of their department’s equipment. Education and Certification High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree in electrical or mechanical field of study or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred. Compensation Range for the Position $19.70 - $25.61 - $31.52 USD Target Cash Profit Sharing for the Position 5.00% Offer amount determined by experience and review of internal talent.
