Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends. Incentives: •

New Grad $2,000 Sign On Bonus for nightshift only •

1-2 years’ LPN experience Sign On Bonus $5,000 for nightshift only •

Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements within 90 days of graduation. •

Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN Must be LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Unit Information: Surgical Trauma "3A" is a 33-bed unit, fast-paced med-surg telemetry unit which focuses on adult post- operative and trauma patients. Nurse patient ratios are: Days 5:1, Nights 6:1. On our unit we offer you the opportunity to develop excellent critical thinking skills as well as use a wide variety of clinical skills including: Head-to-toe assessments Reading and posting telemetry strips IV insertions Catheter, trach, and ostomy care Wound care Chest tubes Why Mercy?
