Clinical Supervisor RN, Center for Women's MedicineValley Health Partners, Allentown, PAJob Summary:Supports all clinical and operational activities necessary to achieve and maintain high standards of clinical quality, financial sustainability, patient and visitor safety, service excellence, and customer satisfaction within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. Provides direct supervision and leadership to nursing and clinical support staff, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, patient-centered care and the effective execution of clinical operations.Manage clinical support-staff performance, clinical workflows, staff orientation, education, clinical skills competency, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes. Oversee clinical decision-making within the scope of practice, quality improvement initiatives, and the development, implementation, and standardization of clinical protocols and workflows to support organizational goals. Leads and supports initiatives designed to enhance patient experience, improve clinical outcomes, and promote operational excellence. Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing, clinical support team members, and the practice management team. Collaborates with the directors, leaders, and administrators to advance performance and quality improvement activities in the practice.Qualifications:Experience:4 years recent experience in a clinical settingLeadership experience preferred.Experience working with underserved communities preferred.Education:Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing; in lieu of Bachelor's degree, and additional 4 years' experience may be considered.Master's Degree from an Accredited School of NursingLicense & Certifications:Registered Nurse in state of PABasic Life Support (BLS) upon hireSkills Needed:Ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to constant change within a healthcare setting.Ability to take initiative and function independently, as well as collaboratively.Demonstrates mature emotional intelligence.Excellent computer skills including electronic medical (EMR), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Knowledge of best clinical practices.Time management skills.Project Management skills.Essential Functions:Oversees clinical operations and issues in the practice.Provides patient care including nursing assessments and applies clinical skills and critical thinking to ensure optimal outcomes. Steps into daily staffing role, as needed.Plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients and oversees clinical operations.Facilitates patient engagement such as visit flow, clinical triage, EMR clinical intelligence tools, pre-visit planning, transitions of care follow-up, and other patient-focused initiatives to enhance the patient care experience.Ensures comprehensive and timely transmission of information to physicians. Applies evidence-based practice to make clinical decisions and establishes standards of clinical specialty.Delegates on the basis of skills and expertise, acuity, and the specific needs of the patient and time availability of team members.Coordinates mandatory clinical education and plans in-services and education within the practice in collaboration with clinical services.Takes responsibility for providing a positive learning environment for staff, students, interns, and residents collaborating with academic programs, while ensuring patient safety.Acts as a liaison with other departments to clarify questions related to the care of the patient.Facilitates coordination of care across settings for a designated population ensuring that labs, studies, and referrals are completed, and results discussed with the patient.Assists in evaluating the department's workforce in terms of overall staffing and scheduling.Promotes annual reviews that foster mutual goal setting and feedback on performance.Collaborate with the Clinical and Medical Directors.Approves timekeeping and payroll entries.Primary clinical compliance champion for practice medication, vaccine and laboratory requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.Location Specific Info:Lift and carry 25-35 lbs.Push/pull 50-100 lbs.
