The Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) is seeking a Sr. Manager, Global Markets to support VTC’s campaigns in Canada, Europe, and Asia. This position will support the Global Markets team. 

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement all preparation for trade and media site inspection tours, seminars, and trade shows
• Strategize and assist with implementation of international media, trade and marketing activities
• Participate in tourism trade and international media-related events
• Assist in managing the marketing activities of remote, in-country representatives
• Route travel around Virginia, as well as several international and national trips per year

Job Qualifications:

• Considerable knowledge of marketing and event management principles, international media relations, and foreign business practices
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple simultaneous projects
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a multi-discipline team environment
• Work with executives and government officials
• Exhibit sound judgment in making decisions
• Maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters
• Budget planning, procurement, and travel arrangement coordination experience is required

Experience Required:

• 5+ years of experience in public relations and/or marketing campaign management required
• Proficiency in foreign language(s) is a plus 

This position is based in VTC’s Richmond Office three days each week with the option of teleworking two days each week according to VTC’s hybrid work policy.

Being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment. VTC uses the E-Verify system and does not provide sponsorship.

This position requires travel and representing VTC at multiple functions and events. A valid Virginia driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport are required.
