About the Role
The Company is in search of a visionary and accomplished VP of Payroll to lead its global payroll function. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing the payroll strategy, governance, and operational excellence across the organization. This executive will establish robust governance and risk management frameworks, ensure compliance and audit readiness, and serve as the primary escalation point for complex payroll challenges. Collaboration with Treasury on payroll funding and banking activities, and with Finance and Accounting on accruals and reconciliations, is also a key aspect of the role. The VP of Payroll will drive enhancements in payroll systems, champion automation and integration initiatives, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency. Leading and mentoring a global payroll team, the VP will foster a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous development. Applicants for the VP of Payroll position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of payroll experience, a completed Bachelor’s degree, and a proven track record of overseeing a team. Global payroll experience is essential. The role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in payroll governance, internal controls, and risk management practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of compliance and audit processes, as well as the ability to manage year-end payroll reporting and filings across various jurisdictions. Experience in driving system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives, and a passion for process improvement, are also key requirements. The VP of Payroll will be expected to lead by example, promoting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous development within the global payroll team.
