Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Surgical Technologist \n Discipline: Allied Health Professional \n Start Date: 09/28/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 40 hours per week \n Shift: 8 hours, days \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)\n Position: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:50 AM–3:30 PM Call: Weekday, weekend & holiday call required \n \n Service Lines\n The CST will support a broad range of surgical procedures, including: \n \n Endoscopy \n General Surgery \n Total Joint Replacement \n Arthroscopy \n Orthopedic Trauma \n GYN \n OB / C-Sections \n Spine: 1–2 days per month \n Key Responsibilities\n \n Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures. \n Assist surgeons and the surgical team throughout procedures. \n Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate instruments and supplies. \n Maintain strict sterile technique and follow surgical safety protocols. \n Assist with room turnover and preparation for upcoming procedures. \n Support procedures across multiple service lines, including orthopedic, general, GYN, OB, and endoscopy cases. \n Sterile Processing experience is preferred. \n Call Requirements\n \n Weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage required. \n Weekend Call: Friday at 3:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM. \n Must be available for Thanksgiving and Christmas on-call coverage. \n \n Ideal Candidate: An experienced CST who is comfortable working across multiple surgical specialties and can confidently support orthopedic, general, OB/GYN, and endoscopy procedures while maintaining excellent sterile technique. \n About Slate Healthcare\n \n Slate Healthcare is a premier travel healthcare staffing agency, connecting healthcare professionals with thousands of opportunities at top-tier hospitals and facilities across the country. \n We’re committed to supporting nurses and allied health professionals in building stable, fulfilling careers—while embracing the freedom and excitement that comes with travel.
