At Prosper-Tech Machine & Tool , this position plays a key role in developing and optimizing CNC turning processes for high-mix, small-batch components used in Aerospace, Space, Defense, and Medical Device applications. This is not a 'monitor the machine' role - it's a hands-on engineering position focused on precision, process control, and continuous improvement.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Program and optimize multi-axis CNC turning centers
• Set up and validate new machining processes
• Select tooling, determine workholding, and refine cutting strategies
• Develop setup sheets and process documentation
• Estimate cycle times, tooling cost, and production flow
• Perform first-article validation and in-process troubleshooting
• Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and tool paths to maintain quality
• Train and support setup machinists and operators
• Collaborate with leadership, planners, QC, and machinists
• Support compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality standards

This is a high-impact role in a professional, quality-driven shop environment.

Machines, Controls & Software

You'll work with equipment such as:

• Machines: Multi-channel dual-turret turn-mill lathes with sub-spindles
• Controls: Fanuc
• CAM Software: Hypermill (Mastercam or similar experience transferable)
• Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, indicators, bore gauges

Materials You'll Work With

• Inconel
• Stainless Steel

What We're Looking ForRequired:

• 5+ years of CNC turning and programming experience
• Experience with live tooling, Y-axis, and sub-spindle lathes
• Strong proficiency with Fanuc controls
• Experience with Hypermill or similar CAM software
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
• Ability to design tooling and fixturing solutions
• Process-driven mindset with troubleshooting ability
• Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented

Preferred (Not Required):

• Aerospace or Medical machining experience
• Multi-axis or turn-mill experience
• Engineering degree (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field)

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Pay Range: $35 - $45/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Overtime: Available as needed
