CNC Programmer

CNC ProgrammerWe are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a growing, dynamic machine shop. This is not an entry-level position — candidates must be able to step in and contribute immediately.Location: Kimball, MI Pay: $28+/hour (based on experience) Schedule: 8–10 hour shifts, overtime, weekend availability Type: Contract-to-hirePosition SummaryThe CNC Programmer develops and maintains CNC programs to ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality machining operations. This role also supports production through machine setups, routine and preventive maintenance, and ensures all processes meet operational and quality standards.Core ResponsibilitiesCreate, revise, and optimize CNC programs using CAM softwareSelect tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences for each jobVerify programs against engineering drawings and customer specificationsSupport first article inspections and troubleshoot production issuesDocument program changes and maintain version controlAssist in evaluating new machinery, tooling, or software for operational improvementsPerform routine equipment maintenance including checking way lube, coolant concentration, and grease cartridge levelsMaintain a clean and safe shop environment, including sweeping/mopping floors, removing metal shavings, debris, oil, coolant, and other spills, and inspecting coolant pumps for chip buildupEnsure maintenance tools, spare parts, and supplies are organized and availableMaintain shop facilities, including emptying trash bins, maintaining scrap areas, and cleaning bathroomsPerform other duties as assigned to support operations, efficiency, and growthQualificationsMinimum 3 years of CNC programming experienceExperience programming and operating 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines, preferably cutting mold components or detailed partsVISI programming experience is a plusAbility to troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs quickly and accuratelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and support a team-oriented shop environmentLinked, LLC is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
