Job Title: Travel IMC / Stepdown RN - Night Shift (Cerner Required)

Job Description: Malone Healthcare is hiring a skilled Travel Progressive Care (IMC/PCU) RN for a 13-week night-shift contract at the renowned University Hospital (UMC) in Louisville, KY. This position is situated within a bustling 25-bed general medicine and cardiology stepdown unit.

This assignment offers a highly collaborative environment where RNs are paired with LPNs to streamline admissions and shift workflows. It also features free, badge-secured parking. Weekly Schedule:

• Shift: Nights (Typically 3x12s, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule Cycle: Scheduled based on unit needs; weekend rotations as needed. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
• On-Call: None!

Position Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated acute care Stepdown/PCU experience. First-time travelers are welcome if they possess a solid inpatient or trauma hospital background.
• Certifications: Active AHA BLS and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Clinical Skills: Completely proficient in trach care, chest tube management, blood product administration, and NG/PEG tube management.
• Drips: Confident managing and tracking standard insulin and heparin infusions.
• Systems: Direct hands-on proficiency with Cerner EMR and Omnicell dispensing systems is required.
• Floating: Flexibility to float to comparable mixed-acuity floors based on hospital census.

Unit Details & Logistics:

• Ratios: 1:4 to 1:6 (supported by unit LPNs)
• Equipment: Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Phillips telemetry monitors
