Travel Medical Technologist - Nights - East Georgia RMC

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Friday to Sunday

The Travel Medical Technologist will perform diagnostic testing on patient samples, aiding physicians in the diagnosis and monitoring of various disease states. Standardized procedures must be followed to prepare samples for testing, and the technologist will be responsible for analyzing test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic testing in the Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank departments.
• Follow standardized procedures for testing and sample preparation.
• Analyze and validate test results for accuracy and critical limits.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding test results and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, with at least 2 successful travel assignments completed.
• Certification as a medical technologist (ASCP or AMT) is required.
• Blood bank experience is required.
• Preferred experience includes Beckman Hematology, ACL Top Coag, BB gel testing, and Beckman Chemistry analyzers with DXA automation.
• Cerner experience is preferred.
