Salary $29.23 - $43.85 hourly ($60,800 - $91,200 annually). Position is Pay Band C8. Why does the job exist? This position directly oversees and manages various homes that provide services to individuals who are developmentally disabled. It functions as a supervisor to lower-level Direct Care Staff and is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the individuals served in their assigned home. The House Supervisor assigns staff, audits documentation, provides training, observes resident behavior, and participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. The supervisor also provides highly skilled services to individuals who are behavioral and/or mentally ill and may cause injury to themselves or others. There are three shifts: 12 am‑8 am, 8 am‑4 pm, and 4 pm‑12 am. Positions are assigned to one of these shifts and require work on weekends and holidays. How does it get done? Responsibilities include assigning staff, auditing documentation, providing training, observing resident behavior, and participating as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team while providing highly skilled services to individuals who are behavioral and/or mentally ill and may cause injury. Who are the customers? Adult individuals who are developmentally disabled and may display behavioral and/or medical challenges. Ideal Candidate Experience as a supervisor. Experience Working With People With Developmental Disabilities Experience working with individuals who are mentally and physically disabled and/or display behavior. Minimum Qualification High school diploma and four years of experience in essential duties, or a combination of related education and experience totaling four years. Employment Requirements This position is safety‑sensitive. Eligible applicants must pass pre‑employment and random alcohol or drug testing, a criminal background check (conditional), possess a valid New Mexico driver’s license, and a current Defensive Driving Certification (or obtain one). Successful completion of HIPAA training is required. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office and in community‑based homes. The incumbent may lift or transfer up to 50 lb without assistance and over 100 lb with assistance. The position may involve exposure to violent behavior; daily driving is required, and occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
