For over a century, the Francis Marion has been known for its exceptional hospitality and service.We are currently seeking a catering coordinator for our Sales and Marketing Department.Duties and Responsibilities are not limited to:Acts as liaison between Catering Director and clients in the Catering Director's absence. Takes booking inquiry information via phone, and prepares proper paperwork. Conducts Wedding sites in Catering Director's absence. Completes servicing and follow-up with Banquet Department when group is in-houseDistributes printed documents to appropriate persons and locations to ensure prompt processing of time sensitive information by hotel and supplier staffAssists with onsite events to include set up, timeline execution, client liaison and occasional banquet service. Some nights and weekends requiredCompletes distribution of BEO's, resumes, floor plans, special menus, food/room signage and insures all meeting rooms are set appropriatelyKnowledge, Skills, Experience and Education:Basic Meeting Room Set-ups and knowledge of Banquet MenusExcellent telephone skills; ability to interact with fellow employees and clients of the hotel, both via phone and in personWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeGED or High school diploma required1-2 years of experience in administrative position, banquet or event preferredPhysical Demands in the Work Environment:· Be able to stand for long periods in a hot environment.· Ability to move from place to place in the kitchen and upstairs.· Lift up to 50lbs.The Francis Marion Hotel is an equal opportunity employer. xhyhwjd All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
