Sales Manager – Schererville, IN Market (140k–170k) Well-performing dealership in the Schererville, IN market is looking for a hands-on Automotive Sales Manager to join its leadership team. The dealer is looking for a motivated Sales Manager who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the showroom - working with the sales team, closing deals, working the desk, and getting units sold. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable dealership with a positive reputation, solid grosses, and a schedule that offers better balance than many retail automotive environments. The position is available due to an internal transfer within the company. This is a high-grossing store with a strong foundation already in place, along with a positive work-life balance and no late nights. The dealer is looking for a leader who can motivate the team, maintain accountability, and continue pushing the store forward while fostering a positive culture. The Sales Manager hired will be one of two Sales Managers at the store and will report directly to the Dealer Principal who is off-site. Responsibilities include: Desking and closing deals Hiring, training, and developing the sales team Driving performance and accountability throughout the department Motivating and coaching sales staff on a daily basis Working hands‑on with customers and sales consultants Maintaining strong variable operations processes and structure Helping the dealership continue to grow while maintaining profitability Partnering effectively with the other Sales Manager and leadership team Requirements: Strong leadership and team development skills Hands‑on management style Proven track record in variable operations Strong desking and closing ability Process‑driven and organized Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment F&I background or experience is a plus, but not required Compensation: Compensation in the $140,000 - $170,000 range based on performance.
