Northern Gear is seeking a skilled CNC Gear Setup Machinist to join our team at W160 S6609 Commerce Drive, Muskego, Wisconsin 53150. Offering competitive pay of $25-$30 per hour depending on experience, this full-time position operates Monday through Friday. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and troubleshooting CNC Gear Hobbing machines, Shapers, Gear Grinders, and Broaches, ensuring precision machining of splines and gear teeth on metal blanks according to stringent specifications.

A strong knowledge of gear hobbing procedures, including program proofing and edits, quality standards, and measurement techniques, is crucial. You will also operate machinery as needed, contributing to the high-performance culture at Northern Gear.

To thrive as a CNC Gear Setup Machinist at Northern Gear, candidates must possess a combination of technical and physical skills. A solid understanding of CNC machining processes is essential, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively. Proficiency in using software and tools for quality, production, and engineering data input is crucial, alongside strong verbal and written communication skills for seamless teamwork. The role demands physical stamina to perform essential functions, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 40 pounds, as well as bending, kneeling, and twisting for extended periods on cement surfaces. Adaptability is key, as you will operate in a fast-paced production environment where attention to detail and efficiency are paramount.
