We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to join our team. The OTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients improve daily living skills, mobility, coordination, and independence.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises and activities under OT supervision
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with facility policies
- Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
Requirements:
- Active New York State OTA/COTA license
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Nursing home, rehab, or home care experience preferred
