Director, Projects-North America

Overview The Director - Projects will manage a team of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers across Nextpower's Project Services group, ensuring best-in-class service, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction. The role is based in Fremont, CA or Nashville, TN with a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week. Responsibilities Oversee a team of 5 or more direct or indirect reports. Manage whole customer accounts or groups of projects from purchase order to commissioning. Ensure safety protocols and WHS principles are followed on all project sites. Provide technical support and maintain customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate logistics, ordering of tools, and training for projects. Manage Project P&L, including revenue forecasting, invoicing, cash flow, and cost management. Drive on‑time delivery of all products needed, liaising with design engineering, supply, logistics, and freight forwarders. Lead customer field support for installation and quality control, resolving issues via Non‑Conformance Report and Construction Deviation Report processes. Establish, measure, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for customer care. Act as a customer advocate within Nextpower, providing recommendations to cross‑functional product teams. Support product development, sales, and marketing as requested. Qualifications Minimum 5–10 years of combined Project Manager and Senior Project Manager experience in energy, construction, mining, oil & gas, or a related industry. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Strong project management skills and qualifications. Experience managing direct reports with professionalism. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience interfacing with supply chain procurement and logistics. Knowledge of PV technology and photovoltaic tracking systems; hands‑on experience a plus. Passion for solar or renewable energy. Ability to manage finances, including P&L and budgeting.
