Senior Inspector

We are seeking a Senior Inspector to work across Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess Counties in New York. In this role, you will collaborate with field staff and project managers on civil infrastructure projects such as roads and bridges, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Primary Location White Plains, New York, United States Responsibilities Conduct and document observations of construction for civil infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges). Mentor and supervise junior field staff as needed. Collaborate with other field representatives and Project Managers. Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts. Serve as the most senior inspector on projects when required. Perform additional duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Relevant industry certifications. Ability to interpret construction schedules. Experience with NYSDOT or NYSTA. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (or eight years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute). Minimum of five years of experience in construction inspection. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture. Successful completion of a drug‑screening test may be required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
