Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry (Night Shift)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients across all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Maintain professional accountability for provision of care and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers
• Perform drug titration and operate telemetry equipment, Alaris pumps, and lift equipment in accordance with unit standards
• Uphold patient rights and maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with applicable nursing practice standards
• Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Telemetry experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification (may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start date)
• Demonstrated competence in drug titration
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Additional cardiac care experience beyond minimum requirement
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
