Overview
Ultrasound Tech (Sonographer) – OB/GYN / Maternal-Fetal Medicine focus
Burlington, Vermont, United States
Start date: October 15, 2026
Contract duration: 4 weeks
Weekly pay: $2,952 to $3,202 per week
Shift: 8-hour day shifts, five days per week
Type: Travel - temporary assignment
Work setting: a large teaching facility with two campus sites
Note: No guaranteed hours

Responsibilities
- Perform OB/GYN and maternal-fetal medicine ultrasound studies, including routine and detailed fetal anatomy scans, follow-up OB scans, and high-risk assessments
- Conduct advanced OB scans such as fetal anatomy, BPP, Umbilical artery and MCA Dopplers, first-trimester evaluations, pelvic imaging, sonohysterography, and HyCoSy as appropriate
- Document and communicate findings clearly to obstetric/GYN teams and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
- Manage patient flow, with up to eight scans per day (four in the morning, four in the afternoon); twin pregnancies may count as two scans
- Operate within the EPIC electronic medical record system for order entry, image storage, and reporting, with recent EPIC experience (past 2 years) required
- Maintain patient safety, quality standards, and privacy in a fast-paced, hospital-based environment
- May participate in GYN and early dating OB scans as needed to support workflow

Requirements
- Active Vermont license at time of submission
- ARDMS credential with OB/GYN specialization
- Prior travel experience required
- Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN ultrasound experience, including fetal anatomy scans, follow-up OB, BPP, UMB and MCA Dopplers, 1st trimester, pelvic imaging, sonohysterography, HyCoSy
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- BLS certification
- Ultrasound Tech Certification Verification (or equivalency)
