• Specialty: Gastroenterology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Facility Location: Richlands, VA • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Reason For Coverage: Supplemental • Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Shifts needed to be filled: - May 18-22• Shift Schedule: - Procedure: Mon, Wed, Thu (.5 day) & Fri - OP: Tue & Thu (.5 day)• Call Schedule: Nights • Call Type: Beeper • Call Ratio: 1:1• Call Response Time: 30 minutes • Patient Volume: 20- 25• Phone Consults: 1-2• Rounding included: Both • Support Staff: RNs: 2, MAs: 1, PA/NPs: 1, Office Staff: 1• Procedures/Duties:

Required:
- Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices, With PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy))
- Esophageal dilatation/manometry
- Small Bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible)
- Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp)

• EMR: Athena & Meditech • Hospital Privileges required: Yes • Temporary Privileges available: true • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: • Active VA License • BC/BE
