Logistics Coordinator- Arabi, LA

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and communication of all cargo transloading activities.

Essential job functions include formulating and gathering instructions from various sources, working closely with freight providers, creating loading or unloading plans, communicating with relevant parties, composing operational updates, sharing information with the sales department, maintaining communication with operations, inputting and maintaining schedules and logs, collecting and updating vessel information, and performing other duties as required.

Experience in logistics within the stevedoring industry is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Required skills include multi-tasking, problem-solving, strong communication skills, time management, forecasting, team concept advocacy, customer service commitment, working in a team-oriented environment, and proficiency in PC skills and Microsoft Office applications.

The work environment is a professional office setting, with occasional duties at various worksites including docks and mid-stream locations. Physical requirements include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing with repetitive motions.
