Shift Leader

Position Overview The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the store in partnership with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager. They ensure the team understands goals, expectations, product knowledge, cleanliness, and guest interactions during each shift. Key Responsibilities Demonstrates mastery of the DOING of Team Member with ease, enthusiasm and excellence. Leads shifts that focus on team engagement and guest satisfaction, ensuring a commitment to "Make Fun Happen". Think strategically about maximizing product sales and waste management. Take ownership of the store’s look and feel, including cleanliness and morale. Communicates effectively on the floor, delegating objectives and addressing issues before they become problematic. Ensures SOP and quality standards are consistently met. Coaches and gives on‑the‑moment feedback, encouraging the team to bring their best DOING and BEING. Trains team on role responsibilities, product knowledge and promotions. Performs administrative tasks such as bank deposits, inventory control, store orders, and other duties assigned. Develops team members, discusses career growth and actively seeks feedback for personal development. Qualifications At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail or customer service experience, or approved by Caribou Coffee. Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends, and to be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Physical Requirements Hearing, speaking, and seeing. Ability to bend, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for 4 to 8 hours. Capable of meeting physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
