Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing established assessments alongside observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication abilities, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing performance.
• Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to cultivate cohesive care strategies.
• Provide essential education to patients and family members to support progression outside the therapy environment.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a continuum of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with all regulatory standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continued education and collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
