Job Description:


- Exciting opportunity to provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit.
- Engage in implementing and monitoring personalized patient care plans.
- Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Take charge as the primary coordinator for all patient care disciplines.
- Execute and follow through on physician and nursing orders diligently.
- Assess and align patients' discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Develop critical thinking skills and utilize decisive judgment in stressful environments.
- Work within a supportive team of nurses, PCTs, and a healthcare unit coordinator.
- Float between cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments as needed.
- Embrace the challenge of working up to 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule and contribute during holidays.

Unit Highlights:


- 28-bed cardiac telemetry unit focusing on diverse cardiac needs, including post-operative care.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6 for optimal patient engagement and care.
- Innovative virtual sitter monitoring and dedicated monitor techs for telemetry patients.
- Serving a broad population as a Level I trauma center for all ages.

Requirements:


- Valid nursing license (Nursys).
- Completion of Ascension onboarding requirements.
- Successful passing of required competency exams.
- Maintain current personal health history documentation.
- Background checks will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
