Robotic Weld Operator-Swing shift

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Operates robotic weld equipment. MUST BE ABLE TO MIG & TIG WELD. Produces assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitive lifting and placing metal work pieces and sheets into fixtures. Measures dimensions of work pieces to ensure conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, templates, etc. Reads prints to determine specifications and accurately complete all required functions. Safely completes finishing functions such as grinding, sanding, etc. This job description reflects the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. QUALIFICATIONS

Requires knowledge of physical properties and welding characteristics of metal, effects of heat, welding shrinkage, welding techniques and allowance for thickness.

MUST BE ABLE TO MIG & TIG WELD.

High school level education or equivalent specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job. Ability to read and understand welding procedures and procedure qualifying record (PQR's) for each procedure. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Requires basic knowledge of ABB IRC5 Robotic Controller.
