This role supports projects throughout Alabama, performing construction inspections that include evaluating, monitoring and testing to deliver accurate data and high-quality service to our clients. In this position, you will play a key role in nondestructive testing and special inspections, helping ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and project specifications.Welder experience or welding school would be a plus but not a required. Build your Legacy.Come to TTL.What You'll DoPerforms visual testing (VT) of structural welds to verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specificationsConducts nondestructive testing (NDT), including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)Performs coating inspections and testing to ensure adherence to applicable industry standards and specificationsInspects structural steel and bolted connections for compliance with relevant codes and project requirementsFollows established procedures, performs accurate calculations and documentation, and maintains effective working relationships with coworkers, clients, and contractorsPrepares detailed daily inspection reports and client documentation; operates with moderate supervisionRequirements:Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred with emphasis in welding, construction, physical sciences or mathStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team membersMust possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving recordAbility to perform heavy lifting up to 50+ lbsMust be able to work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions, including heat and coldBasic computer skills and ability to use related technology and softwareAbility to safely operate aerial lifts and work at heights as requiredJob Type: Full-timeThis position is subject to a pre-employment drug and motor vehicle record checkTTL is an EEO/AAP employer
