Job Title: Lab Technologist Reporting To: Supervisor Sr., Matl Science Work Schedule: Onsite – Blacksburg, VA To be considered for a Lab Technologist role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: Associate degree in related field or equivalent Minimum of two years laboratory experience or equivalent Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. As a Lab Technologist, you will: Perform a wide variety of tests and analyses for investigation and evaluation of materials, processes, products, or failures basic to Moog Inc. product reliability. Maintain laboratory notebook documenting all experiments or technical activities along with maintaining online records. Accurately interpret analytical results. Develop and document new analytical results procedures. Successfully perform analyses from established and new procedures using each of the following: Metallography Polishing equipment Microphotography Balances Wet chemical apparatus Microhardness tester Universal testing machine Electrical test equipment Precision measuring equipment Gas chromatograph Scanning electron microscope Energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer FTIR spectrometer Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) Humidity Testing Assist in training / cross‑training of others. Participate in Continuous Improvement Process. Work with minimal supervision. Ability to retain confidential information. Perform other duties as assigned. Salary Range Transparency: Blacksburg, VA $21.00–$28.00 Hourly Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
