Essential Responsibilities Leadership & Staff Development Provide leadership and oversight to Youth Center staff and volunteers Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate employees and volunteers Establish operational goals, procedures, and standards Foster a positive, professional, and mission-focused culture Ensure programs reflect and serve the diversity of the surrounding community Strategic Planning & Resource Development Assist with strategic planning, budgeting, and program development Develop measurable annual goals and objectives Support fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and community partnerships Assist with public relations and promotional activities Ensure compliance with Salvation Army policies and applicable regulations Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for youth and families Collaborate with community leaders, parents, schools, churches, and organizations Program Management Oversee youth programs, activities, and services that promote academic success, character development, leadership, recreation, and spiritual growth Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and participation Maintain accurate attendance, discipline, and program records Collect and submit required statistical and grant reporting information Ensure quality programming that meets the needs and interests of youth ages served Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Leadership and team development Program planning and youth engagement Community relations and partnership building Budgeting and resource management Volunteer recruitment and supervision Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a ministry environment Working Conditions Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor youth recreation settings and may involve standing, walking, lifting light objects, supervising activities, and occasional travel.
