Maternal - Fetal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum opportunity in Pennsylvania. This outpatient-focused assignment offers a flexible schedule ranging from one week per month to full-time coverage, with optional call and a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Assignment Details

• Coverage needs range from one week per month to full-time
• Clinic-based practice

Schedule

• Monday Friday
• 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Night and weekend call preferred but not required

Practice Setting

• Outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic
• Level III Pediatrics support
• Epic EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

• Maternal Fetal Medicine consultations
• Ultrasound performance and interpretation
• Level II targeted ultrasounds
• Fetal echocardiography
• Amniocentesis and genetic procedures
• Management of high-risk pregnancies, including:
• Pregnancy-induced hypertension and HELLP syndrome
• Type I, Type II, and gestational diabetes
• Maternal cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurologic, autoimmune, and hematologic/oncologic disorders
• Placenta previa and placental abruption
• Multiple gestations

Patient Volume

• Approximately 25 patients per day
• 10-bed department

Team Structure

• 2 Registered Nurses
• 2 Medical Assistants
• 2 Advanced Practice Providers
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) in hand
• DEA required
• BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Strong ultrasound diagnostic skills preferred

Credentialing

• Approximately 90 days
• Temporary privileges available for clean files
