Customer Service Representative

Our client is a healthcare company based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, providing specialized diagnostic and clinical services to a range of organizational clients.

This is a hands-on customer support role within a small, collaborative team. You'll be the frontline contact for clients — managing orders, answering questions, and resolving issues — while helping maintain accurate records and strong data practices across the department's core systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client calls and emails in a timely, professional manner
• Enter and manage customer orders accurately
• Look up and communicate results to clients as needed
• Maintain and update customer profiles and account information
• Onboard new clients into internal systems, including the company's LIMS (laboratory information management system)
• Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the team lead when appropriate
• Maintain HIPAA compliance across all customer interactions and data handling
• Identify opportunities to promote additional services to existing customers
• Support consistent data quality practices across systems used by the team

Requirements

• Prior customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare or regulated industry
• Comfortable learning and working within order management or CRM/LIMS-type systems
• Experience handling sensitive or confidential data in a regulated environment
• Strong communication skills — clear, professional, and client-focused
• Detail-oriented with solid data entry accuracy
• Local to Kalamazoo or willing to relocate (fully on-site role)
• Bonus: experience with Salesforce
