Position Overview The Position Overview The Speech Therapist provides quality patient care through assessments, prescribed treatments, care planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include developing evaluation reports, creating and maintaining individualized plans of care, coordinating services, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. The role may involve supply management, emergency response, health promotion, and family education. Key Duties Deliver speech therapy services as prescribed. Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Develop evaluation reports and plans of care outlining goals and expected outcomes. Maintain patient progress and coordinate discharge planning. Ensure confidentiality and effective communication with all stakeholders. Serve as a resource for clinical staff and provide progress updates to physicians and team members. Qualifications & Skills Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program. Current, unrestricted SLP license in the practice state. CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance. Preferred: at least one year of recent experience in an acute care setting. Additional Information Flexible PRN visits, including weekends, in specific geographic areas.
