Job Title: Welder Job Description

This role focuses on performing MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components to support the fabrication, modification, and repair of HVAC and climate-control equipment, trailers, and related structures. You will work from blueprints and work instructions to measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal parts while operating a variety of fabrication equipment in a manufacturing shop environment.

• Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair HVAC and climate-control equipment, trailers, and related metal structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine project requirements and welding procedures.
• Measure, mark, cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal components using appropriate tools and fabrication equipment.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, grinders, and other shop tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity, making adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and project deadlines.

• Proficiency in MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions.
• Experience with metal fabrication, including measuring, cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling components.
• Skilled in operating fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, and grinders.
• Strong understanding of welding safety practices and proper use of PPE.
• Technical school training or at least 1 year of on-the-job welding or fabrication experience.

• Experience with TIG welding is beneficial.
• Previous work in a manufacturing or shop environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete fabrication projects.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate welds and assemblies.
• Reliable work habits and willingness to follow established processes and safety procedures.

You work in an indoor manufacturing and shop environment focused on metal fabrication and welding. The role involves standing, bending, lifting, and welding for extended periods while operating various fabrication tools and equipment. You consistently use personal protective equipment, including a welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots, to maintain a safe and professional work setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Burnsville, MN.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Burnsville,MN.
