Work Location : On-site in Cuyahoga Heights, OH (within Cleveland)

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC equipment utilizing Fanuc controls.
• Follow work instructions and maintain specifications across milling, turning, drilling, tapping, grooving, and cutting operations; take measurements; detect malfunctions; troubleshoot processes; adjust and reprogram controls; sharpen and replace worn tools; comply with quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Perform routine maintenance, including preventive maintenance tasks, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Read blueprints and inspect parts to ensure accuracy of work.
• Read mic, calipers, OD's, tool pre-setting/comparators, dial bore gauges; make proper tooling offsets in the machine tool, as well as proper speeds and feeds.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of CNC machine operating/set-up experience.
• Experience machining castings, iron castings preferred.
• Previous lathe and milling experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Or 2-3 years of related experience and/or training.
