Rhino Medical is seeking a Board Certified Hospitalist Physician for a locum tenens assignment supporting a regional hospital in Kingsport, Tennessee. This inpatient role focuses on managing medicine and cardiac patients within a multispecialty care environment.

This opportunity offers physicians a work schedule with 10- and 12-hour shifts, including a consistent 7-on/7-off rotation, supported by a robust hospital setting with comprehensive multispecialty resources, ICU/PCU services, and advanced EMR technology.

For hospitalists experienced with high-acuity inpatient care, multispecialty collaboration, and Epic EMR workflow, this position provides a reliable schedule and a modern clinical environment.

Practice Environment
This hospital features over 300 acute care beds, including a significant ICU/PCU presence with partially open ICU beds, a dedicated cardiac ICU, and multispecialty support from a broad range of clinical specialties. Providers operate within a modern Epic EMR framework, ensuring efficient documentation and workflow management in an inpatient hospital setting.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for medicine and cardiac patients
• Manage ICU/PCU patient needs within the multispecialty hospital environment
• Coordinate with specialty teams and consults
• Handle codes and rapid response with dedicated teams
• Supervise NP/PA providers
• Document and order within Epic EMR

Candidate Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Tennessee medical license
• Active DEA registration with Tennessee address (schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, 5)
• Board certification via ABMS, ABPS, or AOA in relevant specialty
• Active ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not boarded in Emergency Medicine), and NRP (if applicable)
• Vaccinations or immunity titers for MMR and Varicella
• Two-step TB test within past 12 months or QuantiFERON Gold test within last 3 months
• Recent case logs (last two years) and documentation for specific procedures if applicable
• Commitment to initial and biennial CME/CEU in Preeclampsia-Eclampsia education
• Willingness to serve as supervising physician for NP/PA roles
