Introduction Our client is a well-established small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated and experienced team. The hospital provides comprehensive care for companion animals, offering a wide range of medical, surgical, and preventive services. Working Hours / Rota The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays. The role includes full-time opportunities, with occasional weekend shifts and no after-hours or on-call requirements, allowing for a balanced schedule. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for providing consistent, high-quality care to patients while ensuring excellent client communication and service. Clinical duties include performing wellness exams, surgeries, and dental procedures; diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries; interpreting diagnostic results; prescribing medications; and maintaining detailed medical records. Additional responsibilities include participating in community events, mentoring support staff, and contributing to the continued success of the hospital. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who will receive mentorship and guidance to develop their clinical and leadership skills. Practice Details The hospital is equipped with advanced technology, including full-mouth digital radiographs for dental procedures, digital radiography, and a complete in-house laboratory suite. It offers a variety of services such as wellness exams, sterilization surgeries, vaccinations, internal medicine, pain management, dentistry, nutrition counseling, and end-of-life care. The facility is AAHA accredited, ensuring the highest standards in veterinary medicine. The practice culture emphasizes teamwork, professional development, and compassionate care, supporting both pets and their owners through every stage of life. Team The hospital's team is led by an experienced Principal Doctor and Practice Manager who provide strong leadership and mentorship.
