Join a dynamic urgent care team in the Pacific Northwest region, where you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers and ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care. This per-diem Medical Assistant position involves performing patient care duties within the scope of practice, assisting with treatments and procedures, and facilitating smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks as directed by providers, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents and supplies are in place.
• Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to state regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators to ensure timely patient care.
• Manage exam room supplies, perform daily room checks, and uphold infection control standards.
• Collaborate with environmental services to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with good judgment.
