Executive Director – Kings County Association of Governments Nestled in the heart of California’s San Joaquin Valley, Kings County offers a welcoming, close-knit community enriched by its agricultural heritage and growing economy. The Kings County Association of Governments (KCAG) serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Kings County and is responsible for regional transportation planning and funding coordination throughout the county. KCAG’s member agencies include the County of Kings and the cities of Avenal, Corcoran, Hanford, and Lemoore. KCAG is seeking an accomplished, collaborative, and forward‑thinking leader to serve as its next Executive Director. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in transportation planning, regional collaboration, and organizational leadership, along with a demonstrated ability to secure and administer grant funding for complex transportation and infrastructure projects. Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical background includes seven years of progressively responsible experience in transportation planning, regional planning, public administration, or a closely related field, including at least three years in a senior management or administrative role. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, urban planning, transportation planning, or a related discipline is preferred. The annual salary range for the Executive Director is $180,000 - $220,000; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
