The position exists to provide administrative and lab support for the Consumer Solutions Building and Infrastructure TS&D organization.This is a long‑term, year‑round opportunity for undergraduate students who are enrolled at a fully accredited college or university located near the Auburn Dow site. Unlike a short‑term summer internship, this role is designed to last at least one year and allows students to work part‑time while continuing their coursework.As a co‑op at Dow, students gain hands‑on professional experience in a global organization and have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and leaders across a variety of roles. This program is intended for academically strong students who can successfully balance both school and professional work responsibilities and who meet the program and position requirements outlined below.Responsibilities:Copying/scanning/answering emails/supply orderingSupport sampling of Dow products to internal & external customers, including maintaining a sample inventoryPrepare laboratory materials for experiments/Maintain material inventories for application testing/Ensure consistent laboratory organization and housekeepingConduct laboratory experiments/Data analysis/Reporting and presentation of the results and conclusionsQualifications:Must be 18 years of age or older.High school diploma/GED and already enrolled at an accredited college or university located close to the Auburn Dow site, pursuing an undergraduate degree.Successfully complete a minimum of 6 credit hours per term during both the Fall and Winter terms (~Sept-Apr).Able to begin work very soon, usually within 4-6 weeks of the job offer, and work year-round at least 16 hours each week ONLY during our regular business hours (8am-5pm, Mon-Fri…max 8 hours/day and 30/week during school).Commit to the role for at least 1 full calendar year (BEFORE completing classes for your stated undergraduate degree or BEFORE transferring out of the area). Students available longer than one year before completing their degree program are preferred and advantaged.Reliable attendance and punctuality in commuting to work daily or at least 3 days a week; therefore, dependable transportation, dedication and time management skills are absolutely required.Live within 50 miles of the Dow site.A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.Preferred Qualifications:There is no required course of study for this position, but students pursuing engineering, supply chain or business majors may be the best fit for this position.Seeking high performing student with strong GPAs of 3.000+.Your Skills:Laboratory Operations & Support: Prepares lab materials, maintains organized workspaces, and manages material and sample inventories to support application testing and experiments.Data Collection & Analysis: Conducts laboratory experiments, analyzes results, and documents findings through clear reports and presentations.Administrative & Organizational Skills: Provides administrative support including copying, scanning, email communication, and supply ordering while managing multiple priorities effectively.Attention to Detail & Quality Focus: Delivers accurate, high‑quality work by following procedures carefully, maintaining clean lab environments, and ensuring consistent documentation.Time Management & Initiative: Balances academic and work commitments by meeting deadlines, working independently, and proactively addressing tasks that need attention.Additional Notes:Any current Dow college co-ops wishing to transfer into this role must have been in their current role at least one full year, must have at least one full year left before graduating or transferring out of the area, and must have supervisor approval before applying to each Dow co-op job posting.Candidates who receive a job offer will be required to pass a background check and drug screen/medical evaluation and will verify school-related requirements and I-9 documentation before being hired into Dow.Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.About DowDow (NYSE: DOW) is one of the world’s leading materials science companies, serving customers in high-growth markets such as packaging, infrastructure, mobility and consumer applications.
