Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts with 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks.

Assignment Details

Contract length and guaranteed hours will be discussed during the hiring process.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (must be AHA or RQI certified).
• Two years of acute hospital experience as a Registered Nurse.
• One year of Emergency Department experience as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and identify urgent care needs for patients of all age groups.
• Provide direct patient care and evaluate progress in collaboration with the care team.
• Conduct primary assessments and document deviations from normative health statuses.
• Establish rapport with patients and families, addressing comfort needs and providing updates.
• Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures, ensuring they understand post-care instructions.
• Teach and delegate tasks appropriately within the team's scope of practice.
