Overview Registered Nurse – ICU (Adult) travel assignment in Newark, NY. Start date: 10/05/2026 for several weeks in a hospital ICU setting. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,231–$2,420 per week Start date: 10/05/2026 Duration: several weeks (travel assignment) Shift: 3x12-hour nights Setting: adult ICU / Medical Intensive Care Unit in a hospital Location: Newark, NY Responsibilities Deliver direct, evidence-based care to adult ICU patients, including frequent monitoring and assessment Manage invasive lines (arterial, central lines, PICC) and hemodynamic monitoring with vasoactive and cardiac drips administer sedatives, analgesics, and paralytics as required; assist with procedural sedation and monitoring Perform blood product administration, phlebotomy, and 12-lead ECGs; respond to emergent events Collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Unit Secretary; coordinate care plans and communicate with families Document accurately in EPIC; maintain infection control practices and PPE protocols Requirements NY RN license in hand ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications ICU experience required: minimum 2 years (posting notes 2 years; internal note lists 1 year—confirm with AM) Travel experience required; first-time travelers may be considered Must be at least 75 miles away from the facility; local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted Unit: Adult ICU / Medical Intensive Care; ability to work in high-acuity environment Interdisciplinary teamwork and ability to float as needed EPIC charting experience Orientation: 12 hours Pre-approved time off: 2 days per contract RTO/submittal: cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days RTO Background checks reviewed case-by-case; return staff policy per system: 6 months COVID-19 vaccine not required; influenza vaccine status not specified Benefits and Support 12-hour orientation provided to prepare for unit procedures Pre-approved time off: 2 days per contract RTO guidelines: candidates must be within the specified availability (no more than 10 days RTO permitted) Background checks reviewed case-by-case Return staff policy: 6 months system-wide Ongoing support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC during the assignment EPIC charting onboarding and unit-specific workflows About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
