Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized patient care in a critical care setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex cases and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced patient assessments utilizing tools such as CAM, CPOT, and RASS.
• Monitor and manage patients with EVD, multiple medication drips, and use of Hemosphere Flotrac.
• Perform trauma patient assessment and care across various severities.
• Follow strict isolation precautions, hand hygiene, and SOPs per institutional standards.
• Utilize Allscript EMR efficiently for documentation and care coordination.
• Float to various units including SICU, IMCU, and ICU as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Possess a valid RN license in New York State or reciprocity.
• Have at least 3 years of ICU experience preferred.
• Hold current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; CCRN and TNCC are preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing trauma, hypothermia, and chest tube drainage.
