Job OverviewA law firm seeks an admitted Immigration Attorney for a promising Associate position in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers significant growth potential and the opportunity to gain valuable experience within an established firm. The Associate Attorney will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants. Duties Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions. Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals. Manage a workload of diverse immigration cases. Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers. Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions. Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed. Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes. Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients. Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony. Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases. Requirements 1 to 4 years of experience in Immigration Law. Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward. Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications. Experience with Case Management Software is preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Admitted to practice law. Skills Strong legal analysis and strategic planning abilities. Excellent communication and client interaction skills. Proficiency in preparing legal documents and briefs. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) plan.
