Operations Manager

wAn established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a multi-shift production facility specializing in plastic film extrusion and flexible packaging material s .This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day plant operations across production, maintenance, quality, and shipping, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent output of high-performance plastic films and bag product s. The position requires a strong understanding of extrusion-based manufacturing and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment Key Responsibiliti esOversee daily operations of a plastics extrusion and converting facili ty (film production, slitting, bag makin g)Lead and develop supervisors and production teams within a multi-shift environme ntMonitor key performance metrics (e.g., throughput, scrap, uptime) and report results to leadersh ipCoordinate production planning, raw material usage (resins), and inventory contr olEnsure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and operational procedur esPartner with maintenance to maintain uptime o f extrusion lines, dies, and auxiliary equipme ntDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused o n yield, efficiency, and waste reducti onSupport workforce management and training efforts in collaboration with HR Qualificati onsExperience in a manufacturing leadership role with in plastics, film extrusion, or flexible packag ingWorking knowledge of blown film or cast film extrusion proces sesFamiliarity wi th polymer materials (e.g., polyethylene, nylon, or similar resi ns)Experience in a multi-shift or continuous production environm entStrong leadership, problem-solving, and communication ski llsBachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be conside mentCombination of office and production floor responsibili tiesExposure to a manufacturing environment involv ing extrusion equipment, heat, and moving machi neryPhysical activity including standing, walking, and occasional lif #J-18808-Ljbffr Appleton Finn
