Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Position Type: Full-Time, Temp to Hire
Overview
A growing manufacturing environment is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, maintaining organization, and ensuring accuracy in inventory and shipments.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect and receive incoming components daily
• Store materials in designated bins and shelving locations
• Load and unload shipments using a forklift
• Assist with shipping operations by pulling, packing, and preparing orders
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies
• Continuously improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work
Schedule
• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Includes scheduled breaks and lunch period
Qualifications
Required:
• Basic computer proficiency; ERP system training will be provided
• Ability to operate a forklift or obtain certification within 30 days
• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and inventory handling
• Excellent safety awareness and habits
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a warehouse environment
• Ability to maintain speed while ensuring accuracy
Preferred:
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems
• Experience with quality control inspections during receiving
• Knowledge of HVAC systems or related components
• Familiarity with shipping platforms such as UPS Worldship
• Experience with LTL shipments and Bill of Lading processing
• Basic troubleshooting and inspection skills
