About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - EKG interpretation and critical thinking skills Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. Facility has 294 beds and is Joint Commission accredited. Services offered include cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services. The position involves working with adult and geriatric patient populations. The unit has a patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1. Equipment includes Welch Allyn V/S machines, Hoyer lifts, Abbott glucometers, and Baxter IV pumps. Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred. Common diagnoses include CHF, chest pain, acute respiratory failure, COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and post-cardiac catheterization care. Candidates should be team-oriented and flexible. An associate degree is required, with a BSN preferred. Artificial nails are not permitted.
