Search Solution Group is looking for a Senior Accountant for our client to support the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of their accounting operations. You’ll manage a variety of accounting functions, work with financial data and reporting, and partner with the accounting team to support day-to-day operations and ongoing process improvements.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is highly detail-oriented,

comfortable working independently, and has strong technical and analytical skills. You’ll have the

opportunity to leverage technology and automation to improve existing processes and contribute

to the continued evolution of our accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting operations using senior-level accounting knowledge and expertise
• Leverage advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and building and maintaining macros
• Analyze and manage financial data using Power Query and maintain Power BI dashboards
• Maintain accurate accounting records and reporting within QuickBooks Desktop
• Calculate and analyze key financial metrics, including new MRR, lost MRR, and other profitability metrics
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement AI-driven automation
• Support complex client invoicing, including related revenue calculations and reporting
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Contribute to ad hoc accounting, financial analysis, and process improvement projects as needed

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience

Essential Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial concepts
• Demonstrated technical and systems aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Enterprise
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and macros
• Familiarity with Power Query and Power BI
• Ability to leverage technology, AI tools, and automation to improve accounting processes
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Resourceful and proactive approach to learning new processes and solving problems
• Proven ability to manage priorities and contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment

Schedule & Logistics

• Duration: Approximately 6–7 months
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Location: Raleigh, NC
• In-office: Monday–Friday, 5 days per week
