Business Analyst — Utility Technology & Digital Solutions Trijem33 | Hybrid — Brooklyn or Manhattan, NY (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote) | 3+ Years of Experience Trijem33 is hiring a Business Analyst with 3+ years of experience to drive technology and digital transformation initiatives across a large utility enterprise. You'll own how the company manages records, maps, and workflows — projects like migrating decades of gas microfilm into searchable digital repositories, or standardizing how backlogs move from requirement to go-live. You'll work directly with project managers, developers, GIS teams, QA analysts, and business leadership, translating ambiguous, cross‑functional problems into clear requirements and shippable plans with minimal oversight. This role suits an experienced analyst from a utility, infrastructure, or large enterprise background who's ready to bring structure and momentum to fast‑moving digital initiatives. The Team & The Work You’ll join a small, fast‑moving group inside enterprise technology that owns digital transformation for the Gas business unit and adjacent operations — think enterprise repositories, mapping systems, access‑management tooling, and the Azure DevOps backlog that ties it all together. The team ships in the open: work gets reviewed by leadership, presented to stakeholders, and measured by whether it actually reduces retrieval time, ticket volume, or manual rework. What You’ll Do Business Analysis & Project Support Lead requirements gathering and analysis across operations, IT, and GIS stakeholders, resolving conflicting priorities before they hit development. Partner with project managers to plan and coordinate activities, timelines, risks, and deliverables across concurrent workstreams. Author and maintain user stories, epics, features, process documentation, and workflow diagrams with full traceability from requirement to deployment. Run meetings and status updates, translating fluently between technical teams and business stakeholders. Digital Transformation & Data Drive digital transformation initiatives involving enterprise repositories, workflows, mapping systems, and operational tools, from scoping through rollout. Own backlog management and project tracking in Azure DevOps, including sprint planning, prioritization, and reporting. Coordinate testing activities, issue triage, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test plans and defect logs. Build or direct automation and data‑migration scripts (Python, SQL, Oracle) that eliminate manual entry and standardize categorization. Lead data validation and operational process‑improvement efforts, identifying and closing gaps before they become production issues. Documentation & Communication Develop polished presentations, reports, SOPs, and training documentation for business and leadership audiences. Create workflow diagrams and technical documentation in Visio, mapping support models and data architecture. Maintain organized enterprise records and repositories that hold up to audit and knowledge‑transfer scrutiny. What You Bring 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within a utility, infrastructure, or other large, process‑heavy enterprise environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. Proven track record gathering and documenting requirements, writing user stories, and managing a backlog through delivery. Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps or a comparable project/backlog‑tracking platform. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to non‑technical stakeholders and leadership. Strong organizational and self‑management skills; able to run multiple assignments and deadlines with minimal oversight. Demonstrated ownership — a track record of driving initiatives end‑to‑end, not just executing assigned tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Comfortable working collaboratively within cross‑functional teams that span technical and non‑technical disciplines. Python, SQL, and Oracle database experience. Figma or other workflow/process‑mapping and prototyping tools. QA/UAT coordination or test‑plan authoring experience. Exposure to GIS, mapping systems, or other enterprise utility applications. Prior experience leading or supporting a digital transformation or operational‑improvement initiative. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and dependable under deadline pressure. Brings sound judgment from prior BA work — needs minimal hand‑holding to turn ambiguous asks into clear requirements. Equally comfortable working independently and coordinating across teams.
