Junior Business Analyst (Utility exp.)

Junior Business Analyst Contract Length: 12 Months Location: Brooklyn, NY Work Setup: Hybrid Join a leading organization driving innovation through digital transformation and enterprise technology initiatives. As a Jr Business Analyst , you will collaborate with business and technical teams to improve processes, support strategic projects, and help deliver technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency across the organization. Jr Business Analyst Responsibilities Gather, document, and analyze business and technical requirements for enterprise initiatives. Support project managers by coordinating project activities, timelines, and deliverables. Create user stories, workflow diagrams, process maps, and business documentation using Visio or similar tools. Facilitate meetings, provide project status updates, and communicate effectively between business stakeholders and technical teams. Support digital transformation initiatives involving enterprise repositories, GIS/mapping systems, workflows, and operational applications. Assist with backlog management, sprint tracking, and issue management using Azure DevOps or similar platforms. Coordinate testing efforts, including QA, issue tracking, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Develop presentations, SOPs, reports, and training materials for leadership and business users. Support data migration, validation, and automation initiatives using Python, SQL, and Oracle databases. Participate in continuous process improvement and technology implementation projects. Business Analyst Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical field. Internship or co-op experience within a utility company environment. Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to document business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and workflow/process documentation. Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and strong attention to detail. Preferred Experience with Azure DevOps, Python, SQL, Oracle databases, Figma, and workflow/process mapping. Exposure to Enterprise GIS, mapping systems, enterprise repositories, or utility technology platforms. Experience supporting digital transformation, operational improvement, or enterprise technology initiatives. Knowledge of administration and testing of Enterprise GIS and database projects.
